The care and support of the elderly and people suffering from dementia poses great challenges for our society. The qualification as a carer according to §43b, §53C and §45 SGB XI (formerly § 87b SGB XI) is an important piece of the puzzle in supporting the nursing professions in coping with these immense requirements.
As a caregiver, you complement the professional areas of responsibility of the nursing staff and thus contribute to comprehensive care. The knowledge imparted gives you, as a carer, the security you need to look after the elderly and/or people in need of care and to be able to care for them in an age-appropriate manner.
